From Sunday, April 3, 2022, the 3G regulation will no longer apply

From April 3, 2022, the revised Federal Infection Protection Act will in principle only allow so-called "basic protection measures" in certain areas. For this reason, the 3G regulation in the Bad Reichenhall Old Salt Works will cease to apply from April 3.

In order to reduce the currently still high risk of infection and to ensure the protection of our guests and our employees, we have decided by house rule that all guests from the age of 6 must wear a medical mask in the Alte Saline as well as during the entire tour.

We also recommend that our guests keep a distance of 1.5 meters from other guests wherever possible. Further conditions of behavior can be found in our GCC.

We look forward to welcoming you as our guests.

Entrance to the Bad Reichenhall Old Salt Works possible with 3G certificate

In accordance with the 15th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance (Infektionsschutzmaßnahmenverordnung – “BayIfSMV”), a visit to the Bad Reichenhall Old Salt Works for persons aged 18 and over can only be made if these present a 3G certificate (indicating that they are vaccinated, recovered or tested):

  • Vaccinated – Please bring your official vaccination certificate (also possible digitally e.g. in the form of a CovPass or Corona Warn App) or vaccination certificate of a fully completed vaccination.
  • Recovered – Those who have recovered shall be treated like those who have been fully vaccinated.  Please bring your certificate of recovery issued to you showing that you have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus for at least 28 days and no longer than 3 months (no longer than 6 months for those who have been vaccinated).
  • Tested – Tested persons must present a negative rapid test (no more than 24 hours old) or a negative PCR test result (no more than 48 hours old) issued by an official test centre. Visitors who present their own self-tests will not be admitted.

Tested persons are equivalent to:

  • Pupils aged below 18 who are regularly tested at school (Bavaria, in agreement with the federal states and the Federal Government, has taken the decision to exempt pupils from compulsory testing, even during holidays).
  • Children not yet enrolled in school

The age of children must be proven by means of appropriate documents (e.g. student ID).

In order to maintain the minimum distance of 1.5 metres below ground, the size of the tour group remains limited. All visitors between the ages of 6 and 15 must wear a medical face mask at the Old Salt Works and throughout the guided tour. Visitors aged 16 and over must wear an FFP2 mask during the tour. Further rules of conduct are set out in our General Terms and Conditions GCC.

We are looking forward to welcoming you as our guests.
